Trader Stories
Feedback from participants — including what worked, what did not, and specific changes they made to their chart reading.
"Week two's slope module made me rethink every pullback entry on HPG. I had been buying the first touch of the 20 EMA on the 15-minute chart — Lan showed me three recent examples where the second test was the valid entry. I still overtrade on earnings days, but my baseline setup is cleaner."

"The homework feedback is the part I did not expect to value so much. Submitting my own charts and getting them back marked up with written notes — not just verbal comments in class — let me review mistakes on Sunday before the Monday session."

"Signal Reading Lab is worth it if you actually prepare a chart with a specific question. I once showed up without doing the pre-work and got less from the session — that was on me. When I submit a focused chart 24 hours ahead, the annotation is thorough."

"Private chart review helped me untangle a conflict between my 50 SMA and 9 EMA on USD/VND daily. Duc marked the structure I was missing — a higher-timeframe flattening that made my short-term crossover meaningless. The follow-up PDF is still pinned above my desk."
Quang L. Forex swing · Tan Binh · Private review, Dec 2025
"I enrolled expecting preset MA settings for VN30. Instead I learned why my settings were fine but my read of slope was wrong. Took two weeks before it clicked during live marking. The cohort size of ten meant I got called on regularly — uncomfortable but useful."
Van A. VN30 futures · Go Vap · Foundations Intensive, Oct 2025
"Journal Clinic kept me honest after the intensive ended. Huyen's weekly feedback on my annotation quality — not my P&L — helped me build a review habit. I missed one week due to travel and appreciated that they let me make it up without penalty."

Extended story: Minh's pullback revision
How one trader changed his VN30 entry logic after the Foundations Intensive.
Minh had traded VN30 index futures for two years before enrolling in the January 2026 in-person cohort. His primary setup: buy pullbacks to the 20 EMA on the 15-minute chart during morning sessions.
During Week 2, Lan projected three weeks of VN30 15-minute charts and marked every first-touch pullback against every second-touch pullback. First touches failed 68% of the time in those examples when the higher-timeframe 50 EMA slope was flattening.
Minh revised his rules: wait for the second test when the hourly 50 EMA slope is below 15 degrees, enter on the first test only when hourly slope exceeds 30 degrees. He tracked results in his journal for four weeks post-cohort — false breakout entries on pullbacks dropped from roughly one in three to one in six, though he notes sample size is still small.
"The cohort did not give me a magic setting," Minh wrote in his follow-up. "It gave me a reason to wait — and that was the missing piece."
